Our story

Every local knows the places worth knowing. Now they're all in one place.

Ask anyone in El Paso where to eat, who to call when the AC quits in July, or which barber is worth the drive across town, and you will get a confident answer. That knowledge has always lived in conversations between neighbors. It rarely makes it online in one trustworthy place.

El Paso Select was started to change that. We are not a national directory with a local page bolted on. We are built here, for here, with a simple idea: list the businesses worth knowing, describe them accurately, and keep the details current.

We don't sell verification and we don't list everyone. We review every business before it is published, confirm the essentials, and stay in touch so the information stays right. The guide is launching across El Paso one category at a time, and every category is open for listings now.

Every business in the guide goes through the same clear process. A smaller list, chosen with care, is more useful than an endless one.

    The business is based in or serves the El Paso area, is open, and operates as it describes itself. Independent and locally rooted businesses are at the heart of the guide.

    Details confirmed

    We confirm the name, address, phone number, hours and website directly with the business. A listing that earns the Verified badge has had its details checked by a real person.

    Kept current

    Verification is not a one-time event. Owners can send updates at any time, and we refresh listings when hours, numbers or locations change.

A place in the guide is never for sale. The Community Listing is free, and every business meets the same verification standard. Optional paid plans, Local Spotlight and AI Ultimate Exposure, add visibility and features, and they are always clearly labeled.
